Welcome to Moraine Woods Consulting's website. I hope that it will answer some of your questions and perhaps raise your awareness of home inspections. I started Moraine Woods in 2001 as an effort to provide a more personalized service to my clients. Performing home inspections has been a fulltime job for me since 1993
- this is all I do and to date I have conducted 5,900 evaluations.

My training was through Property Inspectors Training Institute in Virginia and I have been a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) since 1995 with additional memberships in both the Northern Illinois and Great Lakes chapters of ASHI. Moraine Woods is also registered with the State of Illinois’ Department of Financial & Professional Regulation and Angie’s List.

Moraine Woods is not part of any franchise nor does it hold association with any real estate group or organization and no payments are made to be on any "preferred vendor" lists. This allows for an operation that is free from outside influences and more of an unbiased method of inspecting properties. To keep myself up to date with trends and techniques in the inspection field I attend 40 - 50 hours per year of continuing education, far more than the 20 hours per year required by ASHI or the 12 hours per two years as required by the state of Illinois. The company carries business liability and workman's compensation insurance.
